This piece is an image that explains what graphic design is, while also being a good looking piece!

A site for sharing creative works with other people that I actually was on a few years ago is http://www.deviantart.com

http://tearz24.deviantart.com/ was my personal page. The way the site works is that you can share a piece of your work, and you would use a tag, so for example one of my pieces os of justin miller, former cornerback of the New York Jets so i would tag the piece with Justin, Miller, New, York, Jets and anyone who searched Justin or Jets, my piece would come up. Anyone can comment on your piece to offer comments and criticism. Below is one of my pieces.

Self Promotion piece

I think this is the epitome of a self promotion piece, with a picture of himself, what he does, and  his contact information/websites on the picture as well.

Information Design

I liked this image, and thought it displayed information about transportation to work well. Its not a boring bar graph, but still has the simplicity to it so y0u can understand what the graph is about fairly easily.

This image is the logo for the Kolner Zoo, it is unique in the fact that it uses four separate negative space objects to create positive space. “The zoological gardens in Cologne are notable for their Asian elephant park, reflected in the logo with an elephant’s silhouette defined by a giraffe and rhinoceros; the negative space of the animal’s hind legs are cleverly shaped by the twin spires of Cologne Cathedral.”

Identity Systems

The recycle logo is a world wide logo, and everyone around the world knows what the three arrows in the shape of a triangle mean. I like that even though its just a triangle of arrows, it means to keep things going and recycle for later use. The three arrows show a continuous chain, never ending, which is what the purpose of recycling is.
