History of Graphic Design

February 23, 2012

April Greiman is a graphic designer who was first known to use computer technology as a design tool and used it to create art. Greiman’s main interests along with graphic design are video, computer graphics, architecture and enviorment. She takes time in her work to try and alter our perceptions of the relationship between two and three dimensional space. April works on printed pages and also buildings. When working on printed pages she removes all the coordinates that are normally used to locate the viewer and instead launches the viewer in saturated colors and deep space. With buildings she renders solid walls and turns them into something that looks like a video image through oil paint. To visit April’s website and view her work go to http://aprilgreiman.com/
